BEFORE YOU START: Saving Your Audacity Project File
At this point I am going to have you save your Audacity Project File. A project file basically tells your computer what audio clips you are using, where they are on your audio tracks, and what effects have been used on them (more on that later).
Select "File" and then "Save As." Save this file as audacityshoot.aup and make note of where you are saving the file to (for future reference if you need to find the file again). Remember, an AUP file is not an audio file. It is just a file that tells Audacity what clips you are using (and so on) to create your final project.
