Audacity is a free audio editor that can be downloaded from http://audacity.sourceforge.net. For the purposes of this tutorial I will be using Audacity version 1.2.5 in a Mac interface to create a fun audio soundscape that highlights some of the main principles of how to manipulate audio files in Audacity, but it doesn't matter if you are using another version. A soundscape is basically an audio composition made from found sounds. Audacity can also be used on PCs.
This tutorial was created to hopefully give you a basic idea of how to get started with audio editing with no experience.
